You'll have to put the baby in the car. But the seats in the car are designed for adults. They are not suitable for children. In order for the baby to sit, you'll have to install a child seat in the car, and in this article we'll look at the main types of these seats.

They are mainly different depending on the weight of the child, and are divided into several groups. Often, seats do not belong to just one group, but to several at once. Some transformers even come in three categories.

Group 0 will include all child car seats for younger children up to 13 kilograms. This is the smallest size, and such seats can often be taken out of the car and carried. Many such models can also be installed in strollers, and they are secured not by a car belt, but by an Isofix belt, which is very reliable and able to hold the child without danger to him even in the event of a collision. Group 1 will be seats for children aged one to four years and weighing up to 18 kg. These seats can be tilted in several directions, and their design, unlike the previous car seats, involves placement in the direction of travel. It has been proven that such seats reduce mortality in collisions by 50%.

Group 2 seats are for children weighing up to 25 kilograms. They already use car belts, not their own internal belts. This means that the seat simply supports the child, while the car belts hold him.

Group 3 includes car seats for older children, weighing up to 36 kilograms. They also only support the child, giving him a more comfortable position. And all the other work is done by the standard car belts. There are also liners or boosters that are designed to provide the required height and ensure the proper operation of the car's safety belts. There are also more advanced options that provide protection for the child from side collisions.

Seat attachments can also be different. Some are attached to Isofix - this is the most reliable type of attachment. It is considered the most complete in terms of safety. But the price for such seats is usually higher. Others are attached to the standard car belt, and they are also quite reliable. They are cheaper, and if the seat is used infrequently, this will be the optimal option. Seats are most often produced with a five-point safety belt. It is worth mentioning separately transformer seats, they can grow with the child up to adolescence.
