How to sleep during pregnancy: useful tips

We've rounded up the most common questions about sleep during pregnancy and doctors' answers to come up with a short but helpful list of recommendations:

Sleep position. Optimally - on the left side, clasping the pillow with your legs. Why? Uncomfortable on the stomach; on the back, the growing uterus compresses the vena cava, blood circulation is disturbed. On the right side, the outflow of urine may be disturbed.

Pillow for pregnant women. There can be many pillows: under the head, stomach, between the legs, under the back. Or one large pillow especially for pregnant women.

Insomnia. They say that 78% of expectant mothers face this problem. Most often - in the 3rd trimester. To avoid insomnia, it is advised: do not go to bed on a full stomach (we eat two hours before bedtime), do not drink a lot. Take a warm shower before bed, apply stretch mark cream, and ask your husband for a relaxing massage. And do not fall asleep during the day, so that by the evening you will definitely want to sleep.
